The setting is a possible future Earth.
Under the activities of the Human Survival Expansion Agency [Verify], humans are searching for a living environment outside of Earth, and are building a new group of semi-artificial satellites connected to the moon using asteroids, in an attempt to expand their habitation.
However, as soon as humans step into a new territory, the chances of encountering extraterrestrial lifeforms, which had previously been completely unreliable, increase dramatically. Among them, the existence of aggressive extraterrestrial lifeforms that show unilateral hostile behavior towards humans – the Invaders – is a major obstacle to the development of humanity. In order to fight against the Invaders, [Verify] forms a specially treated beautiful girl combat unit – the Refine Knights – and places them as the guardians of humanity.
However, one day, an Invader with a cunning level that is incomparable to anything seen before attacks, and one man – Masuo Sakata – who has no sense of pride or responsibility as a member of the human race, is saved.
